Hi! As a member of the wolfdog mailing list, I talk a lot about my wd Nicodimas. He is pictured here so that the others could see what he looked like. Nicodimas was 87% wolf / 13% malamute and he was the finest companion I could have ever wanted.
Nicodimas passed away suddenly on July 7, 1999. He was 4 years old, and died from bloat. Even though I knew what was wrong with him as soon as he began to show the signs of bloat and rushed him to the Animal E.R., he died on the operating table.
Needless to say, I was devastated by the loss. He was the center of my universe and I still miss him every day. Unfortunately, this was the second hybrid in 5 years that I lost to bloat. After Nicodimas died, I swore I would never own another dog of any sort. Sometime around October, I changed my mind and am now planning on getting another wolfdog.
This second photo was taken just seconds before Nicodimas gave me a big sloppy wolfy kiss.

This photo is of Nicodimas at @ 9 months of age with my two low content wds, Arioch and Albion (both at age 2).
They always looked at the window when my husband got home from work, he'd always get an enthusiastic greeting from "his boys".
