My name is Jon Barrett and we live in Kingman, AZ...The climate here is
cold in the winter with some snow, and hot in the summer with some good
rain storms... My wolfdogs love the outdoors even though they love to be
spoiled inside lying on the couch...
The first photo here at the top is Cuma.
He is a four year old male about 95% Alaskan Timber Wolf and Malmute Husky...
He is very active and dances for me when I bring him his food for the day...
He whines alot and howls during the night... He loves to go for a ride in the back of
my pickup truck...
The second photo is of Nanook. She is sister to Cuma
and again about 95% wolf... She is the dominate one... Although she is small she is
strong and rules the yard... She doesn't get real excited much except
when I say the words "Bye Bye"...
She too loves to ride in the back of my
pickup truck... The other two wolves chase her around the yard at a fast
speed but even though she is small, she is very fast and the others have
a hard time catching her...
The third photo is of Duke. He is a 2 year old male and
about 88% wolf... He was "pick of the litter" from a litter of wolves that Cuma
fathered... The mother wolf was run over by a car when the pups were
about 8 weeks old... He is more mentally slower than the other two... He is
the biggest one though...
He weighs in at about 120 lbs and stands tall
when he's on his hine feet... He eats like an elephant and howls all
night... He loves to jump up on people and knock them down and play
rough... He also loves to ride in the back of the pickup truck...
We live on a small ranch just north of Kingman, AZ with 4.5 acres fenced
in... The wolfdogs have lots of room to run... We inhereted these wolfdogs
from our daughter when she moved away and couldn't take them with
her... We tried to get rid of them but have since grown partial to
them.. As long has we stay here on the ranch, we'll keep them because
they are now part of the family...
