Chief Cherokee's Pride, aka Cherokee, is almost 2 years old in this
photo, playing in his back yard. This beautiful black wolf hybrid is 87.5% Wolf/Malamute.

moment to say hello to the camera person.

In [the first] two pictures, Cherokee is a couple of days short of his 2nd birthday. He is an
87.5% Wolf/Malamute, who is now almost 3 years old. As you can see he is black, which I
don't see too many of. He has the most beautiful set of golden eyes, that tend to put the
fright into some and the 'aww' into most others. Cherokee was my first hybrid and he lives
indoors with my husband, my 4 year old son, 4 cats & 2 ferrets and last but not least,
his new baby sister 'Apache'.

You guessed it! After almost 3 years of owning our first hybrid, my husband and I decided
to get another. Apache is grey and now almost 7 weeks old. She came home when she was 4
weeks old. To look at her standing next to her brother is almost amazing to think that
they came from the same parents.
Apache is quite a little cutie, but she tries to use her cute looks to get her out of trouble. As all puppies, they like to misbehave. Apache is no different. Outside we have 2 ducks and she likes to torment them. They play a chasing game taking turns chasing after each other. This will only last while Apache is still young.

Apache now grown up.
A little older, a little wiser; Apache has grown from cute cuddly puppy to a beautiful Wolfdog.

A more recent photo of Cherokee, seen here at 2 years, 9 months old. (I think this fella
is up to something... he's got that playful grin on his face).

Cherokee and Apache do love each other. It is fun to watch them play together. Their
size difference does make Apache at a disadvantage, but don't tell her that. She is one
tough girl.
Emma has also shared a story with us in the 'Wolf Tales' section, titled "Disabled with Wolves" (2 photos).
