Manitu

In the time since Manitu has joined our pack she has gained some weight and become a treasured and loved member of the family. When [we got her], she was 17 months old at the time. She is 96% Canadian Timber Wolf.

She has bonded extremely well with me, bonded well with my daughter, is approachable by almost anyone, men or women, if they go slow and don't make eye contact of course.
BUT, she has a neurotic fear of my wife. My wife has been nothing but extremely kind to her, feeds her whenever I'm not around, gives her treats, in her bowl, but can not approach her. The only explanation I could come up with is Manitu, the wolf, senses my wife as the alpha female of our pack.
